Vic; Woman charged over syringe attack
A Melbourne woman will appear in Melbourne Magistrates Court today charged with stabbinga driver with a syringe during an alleged attempt to hijack a car.
The woman was arrested yesterday after a driver said she was attacked in her car inGilbert Road, Preston, at 2.25 pm (AEST).
Police arrested a woman and a man at a nearby house a short time after the incident.
And a police spokesman says she's been charged with a number of offences, includingattempted armed robbery and intentionally causing serious injury.
The woman's been remanded in custody to appear in Melbourne Magistrates Court.
Police say the man was not charged over the alleged attack, but was wanted over outstandingwarrants and will appear in court today on that basis.
